While in my new studio working on copper art pieces for clients, I am also designing and printing a series of Notecards and smaller Gift cards. I have added some delightful Haiku written by a dear friend to some of the cards.
Here you see the Notecard line. More designs will be added in the next few days. Really fun to have my own studio!
After several errands dedicated to setting up new machine, it is so close to being operational! By tomorrow I’ll be on a learning curve the likes of which I might not have seen since college…. or High School Physics. That being said, I am so excited to start this process. So many creative options to be had here it’s going to take time to pick one. Engraving my Lapel pins, etching large Dragonfly wings with Haiku poetry by my friend and co-creative partner, Art Robinson, or just cutting elegant pieces in copper. Where to begin? Find out tomorrow which project gets on the table first.
Here is my work for the day! Insulating new studio. By this weekend the drywall should be up and I may be painting the walls and putting up tools of the trade (copper tubing, wire snips, Patina, etc.
Another exciting piece of this “artist’s puzzle” will be the installation of a new 4Axis CNC Router/Engraver machine. Watch for my Blog tomorrow as the machine is turned on for the first time!
